What happens if my pet becomes sick when I am away?
During our consultation, I will note any requirements for transporting your pet during your absence. My company vehicle is equipped and capable of transporting any animals to their attending veterinarian. A phone call will be made to you first before arrangements are made to take the animal to the doctor. I will then proceed as per your instructions so that any animal will have the appropriate care.

Do you come to my home or do I bring my animals to your home?
My insurance does not apply to a kennel situation therefore I am only permitted to attend to your animal and their care in your home while you are away.

How many visits do you complete?
Each animal seems to have different requirements for amount of visits and length of time for each visit. This is why I feel the consultation is such a vital part of creating a successful pet sitting relationship. During the consultation we will discuss and decide on an appropriate customized schedule for your animal. This is not “set in stone” and can be changed at any time. Even if we find that while you are away your pet needs a change of schedule, I will do everything possible to make sure that your pet is attended to as needed for their individual happiness and comfort.

I am the sole employee of Guardian Angel Pet Care, Inc. Giving exceptional care and love to each individual pet is a prime concern of mine. Your animal will only meet with me and I will be able to monitor and evaluate at each visit their moods and comfort levels. This makes, I feel, for a very satisfying pet sitting experience for both your pet and myself personally.

What happens if you become sick, injured or have a family emergency?
I have created a “disaster” plan for any emergencies that would keep me from my scheduled visits. I have other officers of the corporation that are knowledgeable and capable of taking over in case of an emergency. This would include using a local network of pet sitters that have agreed to be a support to each other in these types of situations.

How do you respond to your appointments in bad weather?
I have acquired a company vehicle that is capable of traveling in all types of weather. I have not ever found a time, even in major snowstorms, that I have not been able to complete visits. (I was a little more wet and frozen then other times but I still completed the visit.)

What do I do if you are away?
This is a prime concern of mine. I am at the point of my life that competition is not a factor. It is more important to me that my customers have a security that they can have their animals cared for at any time of the year. I have found that I have to block at least some dates off so I can have some time off with my family. In these circumstances or other times that I am unavailable, I will certainly assist you, if needed, with other alternatives. I have networked with some other local pet sitters for referrals.
